Wireless Charging Roadway for Electric Vehicles

In partnership with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), Electreon is piloting static and dynamic wireless electric-vehicle (EV) charging integration in roadways around Michigan Central.

There will be a static deployment between Michigan Central Station and the Newlab @ Michigan Central Building. On 14th Street, Electreon will be testing wireless technology that charges moving vehicles. The initial use cases that will be tested are a shuttle moving people and a vehicle testing package delivery.

Pilot period: Starting December 2023 (planned installation)

For more details, see MDOT's webpage for the project.
