Analyzing Traffic to Improve Pedestrian Safety

Derq is a traffic-monitoring system that has been installed at key locations across the Michigan Avenue Corridor in Corktown in order to capture data on multi-modal traffic, crossing hot spots and high-risk areas of near-miss traffic accidents and incidents. The insights will be used to make recommendations on how to make these street crossings safer.
