Optimizing Produce Pick-Up & Drop-Off for Local Urban Farms

Biliti Electric, a three-wheeled electric cargo vehicle and Pluck.eco, a delivery optimization platform for farmers, partnered with local urban farmers to streamline fresh food delivery through the Veggie Express pilot. The pilot brought a locally sourced "grocery store on wheels" to lower-income areas that lack access to fresh fruit and vegetables.

The pilot program ended in August 2023, but it was such a success that The Community Builders, the City of Detroit's partner in the Corktown Choice project, paid to keep the delivery program going.
