The pilot effort gathered meaningful first-hand user feedback from potential customers related to pedestrian sentiments and willingness to pay. Participants noted the value derived from improved visibility and potential from deterrence. This feedback was balanced against consumer concerns related to noise and comfort with potential that additional visibility may counter-intuitively make them a target. The pilot simultaneously allowed for real-world testing of technical aspects of solutions to inform operating model and cost. The pilot ultimately provided information necessary to evaluate next steps and plan for potential future product development.
